ABOUT
MOLLYHOUSE

OUR WORK.

Molly House Project offers social and educational resources to men and masculine of center folks who engage(d) in sex work. Our goal is to build intentional community, strengthen networks, and [develop?] the leadership and involvement of masculine-identified sex workers in the larger movement.

In the wake of the Rentboy raid, passing of FOSTA-SESTA legislation, and murders of multiple male sex workers, we identified a need to create spaces focused on an underserved population. Molly House Project was founded in 2019 as a response to silence around issues impacting men, transmasculine, and butch/masculine of center sex workers.

As the COVID-19 public health crisis began to affect sex workers in the US, the MHP became a hub of activity as a virtual drop-in space and community relief fund. Now bi-weekly, our meetings explore a range of topics relevant to our communities – including finances, dating, healthcare, and safety.

Our collaborations with organizations such as the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and People of Color Kink and Leather Experience (POCKLE) have brought awareness to the unique issues impacting our communities. As a member of the Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) network, we align with other organizations to prioritize the needs of all people in the sex trade.

We’ve also been featured on VICE, The Body, and on Let’s Talk Bruh Podcast.
